The Illiad

by Hephaestus on Nov.22, 2009, under

I found that the gods are being bickering quite a bit about who should be on who's side. For instance Zeus tells Athena to get someone to shoot Agamemnon. See influenced a renowned archer to take a shot. He shoots but then Athena deflected the arrow into a safer place for Agamemnon. This truly shows that humans are just the play things of us gods. I personally am quite stunned that Aphrodite is so attached to Paris, her son. After all she saved him from the one on one duel. I haven't chosen a side yet, but if I do you'll be the first to know. That's all for now Hephaestus.

What I did over April break

by Hephaestus on Nov.22, 2009, under

Well to tell you the truth I didn't really do that much. I made my brother, Ares. I also fixed a few thing in Mount Olympus a recent game of soccer in the heavens broke some lamps and a few statues. So natually I was called in to fix it. The rest of my time I spent designing so new machines. I also spent my time with my wife Aphrodite.

News anchor interview

by Hephaestus on Nov.22, 2009, under

Hello I'm Katie Couric from CBS studio in an exclusive interview with Hephaestus the god of the forge. We're talking about the crisis with Persephone, Hades, and Demeter. Hades has stolen Persephone down to the underworld and Demeter the mother of her, or the god of the crops has become depressed. In Demeter's depression all the crops around the would have started to die.
Katie: So, Hephaestus, what do you think of Hades actions?
Hephaestus: Well to tell you the truth I'm a little disappointed in my uncle. After all, all he had to do was ask her on a date. Sure the underworld is not the prettiest place but he could have spiffed it up for her. Or he could have called me up and I could have made some adornments for his palace.
Katie: Well what about Demeter and her depression that is destroying the crops around the world?
Hephaestus: Well from what I heard the three of them have made an agreement that in the fall and winter Persephone stays with Hades, and in the spring and summer Persephone gets to go back up to Mount Olympus.
Katie: Well, thank you for your time Hephaestus. This is Katie Couric we'll keep you updated.

Bio-poem

by Hephaestus on Nov.22, 2009, under

A friend from the blacksmith society recently sent me this poem about me here you go:

Hephaestus
Strong, lame, metal thumb, crippled
Son of Zeus and Hera
Lover of the forge, of humans, and of Aphrodite
Who feels pain, rage, and happiness
Who needs love, a hammer, and fire.
Who fears no metal, no love, and Hera.
Who gives life to humans, grief to Hera, and hate.
Who would like to see Hera throw off a cliff, see Zeus thrown off a cliff and see Areas thrown of a cliff.
Resident of a Volcano.
Also known as the Crippled God.

Hey

by Hephaestus on Nov.22, 2009, under

Hello my name is Hēphaistos I am the Greek god of the Forge. As much as I wish I was born perfect, I am a cripple. But, you know, being a god I can just change my form so life is pretty good. Also another great thing is I'm married to Aphrodite and shes quite the looker. Well, as I was saying I'm the god of the forge so I make things for the other gods. I am also the god of fire, metalworking, stone masonry, sculpture and volcanism. I am the son of Hera and Zeus and the brother of Ares. We two are the only children of Hera and Zeus due to their volcanic tempers and romances with mortals. I'm not to close with my mother, mostly because when I was born and my mother saw I was crippled see threw me off Mount Olympus, and well, really, what kind of mom throws their kid of a cliff. I mean really, Really!?! Well talk to you later Hēphaistos.
